Lisa is a global corporate executive with extensive experience in human resources, operations, and technology. Her career began in finance before venturing into technology consulting, where she honed her expertise in operational efficiency and process improvement through project management and Lean Sigma methodologies. This foundation in operational excellence has been instrumental in her subsequent HR career, where she has focused on optimizing human capital and implementing effective talent strategies. Lisa has worked with some of the most influential companies, including S&P Global, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Tyco, and IBM, building strong employer brands and helping organizations grow and retain top talent.
Born in Taiwan and raised in New York, Lisa speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently. She learned early in life that a willingness to adapt and work hard can break stereotypes and limiting beliefs. Lisa became the first Asian American female president of the student government at Baruch College, City University of New York. She holds an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business and a Master’s in Human Resources from Cornell University's Industrial and Labor Relations School. Lisa also holds numerous professional certifications in HR and coaching, which underscore her commitment to continuous learning and professional excellence.
Lisa is also active in her community. She has served as an administrator, teacher, and board member for 14 years at the Princeton Chinese Language School. Currently, she serves as a board member for her HOA and is an officer for the Princeton High School Football & Cheer Booster Club. Her commitment to volunteerism and advocacy has nurtured her growth as a person and business leader.
Lisa met her husband, Eric, while at NYU Stern. She often shares that she got her "MRS while getting her MBA." They decided to settle down to raise their family in New Jersey after Lisa relocated for Bristol-Myers Squibb. They have two children. Her daughter graduated from Princeton High School this past June, and will be attending Cornell University. Their son, a rising junior, is active on the football and track team.
Lisa has a deep passion for dance and yoga. She studied Simonson Jazz, a contemporary jazz technique, for over 20 years and finally obtained her teaching certification in 2016. She taught Hip Hop and Jazz at the Plainsboro Fitness & Wellness Center for three years. Lisa is also an avid yoga practitioner and a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor.
