We now are in the final days of the campaign, with only eight days left until Election Day. Early voting already has started, and attendance has been unprecedented. If you haven’t voted yet, I urge you to make your voice heard by voting early at the Princeton Municipal Building, 400 Witherspoon St. Early voting will remain open through Sunday, November 3. Hours are:
I Voted—Now It’s Your Turn
I cast my vote early Sunday, October 27. For the local Board of Education (BOE) election, I voted only for myself and Shenwei Zhao. This election has been an uphill battle, and every single vote for the two of us boosts our chances against the political machine. Even this weekend, horrendous attacks were made against us on a parent Facebook page by people who don’t know us. We refused to engage in the mudslinging and are grateful to some parents who stepped up to call out the slanderers.
If you would like to see real change in the BOE, it’s crucial to vote for independent thinkers—candidates committed to serving our community and children, not political interests. Thank you to everyone who has supported my campaign so far. Now it’s time to make sure that our voices are heard at the polls. Encourage your friends, neighbors, and family members to vote early or on Election Day. Together, we can build a better BOE that puts the needs of our children and community first.
Lawn Signs, Door Hangers, and Get Out the Vote Efforts
If you have any of my lawn signs or door hangers, please display them as soon as possible. Every bit of visibility counts during these final days. If you have extras and are unable to distribute them, please email me at info@votepotter.org, and I’ll happily pick them up.
This weekend, we took a brief break from the campaign to attend Cornell’s Family Weekend—our chance to visit our daughter after having focused most of our attention this fall on our son’s football season, where I serve as a booster officer for the team.
Before we left for Cornell, a dedicated parent volunteer helped me distribute over 300 door hangers. During the weekend, two more incredible supporters distributed an additional 400 door hangers across several neighborhoods. Thanks to the efforts of our amazing volunteers over the past few weeks, we’ve now distributed more than 3,500 door hangers and over 150 lawn signs throughout the community.
Looking for Last-Minute Volunteers
As we enter this final stretch, I’m asking for a bit more help. If you’re willing to assist with distributing business cards in high-traffic areas around town, please let me know. I have 500 cards left, and even small efforts can make a big difference in encouraging more people to vote.
Thank you for everything, and let’s finish strong.
Lisa
P.S. I’m still sorting through photos from our recent supporter appreciation event and fundraiser. I’ll share some highlights in an upcoming blog—stay tuned!
